We are currently working very hard on the new version of our tour operator software, ODIN. We are preparing the release of 3.0 in the next few days, and the first client will be updating it's systems very sonn after that.
There are quite a few improvements from version 2.0 to version 3.0. We have implemented a brand new user interface, with tabs for the main sections of the software. We have used
Telerik for all our interface controls, calendar, grids displaying data, modal windows and more.
The biggest change in this version is that you can predefine packages for your customers. ODIN makes use of dynamic packaging, the customer can select the items he wants when creating a booking on your website. Normally he selectes a flight, picks a great hotel and adds a car or a golf round to his booking. With the Package module, you can predefine these packages, making it easier for you to market pre-defined packages to your customers.
In the Package module you can hafa lot of control of how inventory is used in the package, how the price is managed, from fixed price pr. item, allowing discounds from the inventory price or just using the plain inventory price, whatever that may be.
We have also extended the access controls for all users in the system. You can now extensively control what each user can do in the system. In the same step we have also turned on loggin for all movements by each user in the system, so the system administrator can see exactly what is going on in the system.
There are also a lot of user interface improvements. We have polished every page, every action and improved consistency all over the system, in all actions the user makes.
